Inchmoan Whisky (0)
Situated on the banks of Loch Lomond, it takes its name from the most picuresque and famous of all Scotland’s lochs -often referred to as one of the world’s natural wonders. For centuries, the mainland inhabitants of
Luss, on the west side of the Loch, used Inchmoan Island as their source of peat fuel for the village fires. Hence its name ‘inch-moan’: the island of the peat in Gaelic.
In early summer, it must have been a hive of industry with boats being rowed out, men cutting deep into the peat banks, and women and children stacking the peat to dry in the summer sun, later to be carried to
the boats and brought home in autumn.
Inchmoan 12 Year Old Single Malt is born from a combination of malt whiskies from our traditional swan neck pot still and our unique straight
neck pot still to create an unconventional peat character with a lot of depth marrying smoke and spiciness.
The exceptional Inchmoan Vintage 1992 Single Malt Whisky was exclusively distilled from Scotland’s finest ingredients in our unique straight neck pot still and collected at a high ABV strength of 83%. The long maturation
in refill bourbon barrels allows the spice-driven peat and fruit distillery character to combine with the softer influence of refill bourbon barrels to give a truly integrated, refined flavour. The result is an elegant, rich single
malt with a beautiful balance of fruit and spicy peat.
